I have pretty much been on a Star Trek: Original Series binge to get geared up for the movie which I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN ARGH. (It's okay to talk about in the comments, I don't give a shit about spoilers. Do people still care about spoilers?)
Holy crap, guys. Sit down in front of that show with your sketchbook and whatever you like to color with. Just sit down for four hours and WATCH. Oooooh my gosh. I feel like I need to make a big post about how fucking pretty Star Trek is.
What is wrong with me. Oh my god. My big task for Friday is gonna be making a post about 60s Star Trek because I feel so strongly about the pretty colors.

Chekovthe movie is even prettier than the series. Lens flare LIEK WHOA.Also, prepare to be amazed at how BADASS everyone is. These are the voyages of the Starship Everyone In This Movie Kicks Considerable Ass. Enjoy.

if for no other reason than it may inspire you to draw more ST fan arts. i'm currently revisiting TNG because, i dunno, the atmosphere of that series is a tad more appealing to me. i'll agree though that TOS -was- damn pretty!

Sometimes I think pre-Seventies series such as Star Trek
benefited from a stage-y sense of design we rarely see
on television nowadays (or in movies, for that matter).
Now everything needs to look "real."
